Dance Atop My Fingertips

The spider smiled as the flies used her web as a ballroom, dancing a waltz and lost in the world they created to pretend they weren't her captives, now and forever. Once, she had been called a magpie, a collector of shiny bits, baubles, and pieces, but now she found she rather preferred being a spider - made them shine all the brighter, and they could never leave her. Ever. She made sure of that.

(So when the song came up, I instantly thought of Sherlock, but then for some reasons the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, and I don't know why I'm saying this because they didn't really influence this at all...)

(The song was The Thieving Magpie by Rossini. It, uh, doesn't have words, but I went with it anyway.)

Yo. Me? I'm a professional Metaphor Creator - aka taking two things and sticking them together with determination and lots of glue to make a sandwich. (That's pretty much how I write, too. But hey, sandwiches are great, aren't they? Even if you have to look at the base idea of it.) Also known as a Thinker, Dreamer, Sleeper, and/or TalksTooMucher.

Prey listen to me Sir, for I need a place to rest. My clothes are sodden from the storm, and I feel a cold upon my chest. I saw the light from yonder field and made my way with haste.
