You were my first word
I was your last word
You were the first man I loved
I was the last girl you loved
You were there when I was born
I was there when you passed
You were the first one to hold me
I was the last to hold you
You cried when I was born
I cried when you died in my arms
The last picture of us is all I have
The first has been torn into shreds,
Your presence still lingers here, in my head and all around,
Waiting for you to take me from this nightmare, from this ocean of despair,
Thy eternal summer shall not fade, oh how ironic, taken when you were too young, when you had so much more to give, now I wait for god or a supposed god to stop the hands on my clock and take me to you where we can roam the hills together and pick berries. Do you look down upon me, are you proud of who I am? You taught me right from wrong, told me that rock was in my blood and that I should listen to no one but my heart. All principles I've stood by over the years when so much injustice has occurred. I was always your little girl and even as you were dying not wanting an ambulance to be called you called me your little rowen tree and now that tree grows beside where you lie but not your soul, your soul is free and alive, walking the hills with Tyson, Moss and Callie but you can't leave til I have joined you, the song things my father said makes me cry: the lyrics, somewhere theres a star thats shining so bright that I can see your smile. Remember that game we played where we would kiss each others eyes, lips, cheeks, nose and eyebrow before we said goodbye in the morning. That's one of the last thoughts on my mind at night. But how can I forget the second I lost you? I am scared I didn't tell you enough how much I loved you, that you left this world unloved but just know that you're all I think about and I would sacrifice myself so that you could walk this earth again.
