Track me for days
cannot escape
you come in so many ways
you always take

I don't want to meet you yet
when I finally do
I know I'll never forget
who could ever forget you

Won't matter of I'm left here alone
doesn't matter who I'm with
you will come and claim me for your own
you know where everyone lives

He's a shadow lurking behind
as my eyes give into the night
he comes to take away he doesn't mind
it's useless to fight as I might

Sprinkles the sand over my head
so I slip out of reality into dreams
and go off into my warm bed
with beautiful deceiving visions you beam

Dreams might not always be beautiful and good
but cannot fight the sandman
he comes always just as he should
to send us to slumber his simple plan

He's come for me now nowhere to hide
it's just about that time
for the dreamscape I go now inside
and for the sandman to come and now to be mine.
