My darling niece you are now at that difficult age, past the age of innocence
Where you have a thirst for all that's new
And you crave your independence
You no longer want your mothers watchful eye
And endure all your fathers words with a tut and a sigh
But please take some advice from one that is old
Although its true I was not quite so bold
I have been through the stages you now face
And I beg you please try to calm your haste
Cherish your young years and please try not to race
To be a different person in a different place
Give yourself time to grow and you will see
The life meant for you unfolding naturally.
