Night has come upon us now and bringing once again,
Our daily woes, our fits and throws to a peaceful end.
Release for now the furrowed brow that causes your spirit to quiver.
Sink deep, in silken sheets, from worries be delivered.
The silence will sooth your fluttering mood.
It wraps itself around you. Like a cloak that hides the turmoil outside,
It protects and surrounds you.
I know the night is scary sometimes for our thoughts feel rearranged. The little things can gnash and gnaw till we're certain we're deranged.
Release those dark tempestuous thoughts, they cannot hurt you here. Rendered impotent by this night.
There's nothing left to fear.
Come, close your eyes, allow the silence to inhabit every cell.
It's calm caress this night will bless,
heal you, and make you well.
