Mia let out a sigh as morning broke through, she stretched out her sleek paws infront of her. 'Time to get up I suppose...' she uncurled her body and let out a yawn as she stretched out. She sat at the entrance of her cave and watched the rain pour down. Tilting hear head as her nose picked up the usual morning scents. As her head tilted her grey canine ears flopped to the side she really did not fancy a hunt in the rain. Upon sitting quiet taking in the scents Mia picked up an unusual but fammiliar one, letting out a gentle whine her paws padded out into the open. Rain fell on her fur and soon she was soaked, darting in and out of forest shadows looking for her's and the packs breakfast, she felt their sneaky group presence all around her covering her back and stalking prey.
They soon picked up a mouth watering scent of a deer, hungrily ambushing round getting ready to chase and maul. Mia's feet padded softly and silently they all waited in suspence waiting for her signal to attack, surely before long her ears perked and she jetted towards the deer chasing it off to meet her pack, they soon shifted and lunged to bite the beast bringing it down heavy. Blood soon covered the ground and all the happy hungry wolf faces. Mia was first to tuck in she was alpha, they waited for he to have the first bite. Everyone was happy and fed, Mia had done her duty but inside her there was no joy. It still played on her mind that she had no mate.
After morning breakfast Mia left the pack to their own devise, elders taught cubs as the played in the forest. It was now Mia's job to prowl opussian lands protecting the inhabitants. It had dried up a bit now and Mia's coat wasn't so damp, she trotted through the trees as the sun glared. All that played on her mind was that 'fammiliar' scent, it had made her curious as to who or what it was she recalled from it. All seemed quiet in the land and very little was happening, shaking her fur and poofing all the rain free she closed her eyes momentaraly. When she opened them stood in the distance was another wolf. The scent hit her like a brick wall, her eyes narrored and ears pinned back. At first she felt fear, then beastly agression, her hackles bolted up right the entire length of her back, her large white teeth were bared as she snarled saliva dripped down her canines. Suddenly realisation set in .... All defences dropped as she charged over with power to the male, when she reached him enough to touch a ball of two adult frolicking furry 'cubs' chittered and rolled around in the grass in a beautiful long lost reunion. Mia's body shook in sheer excitement, chittering and nuzzling all along Tristans body. 'You found me...' She whispered as a tear fell down her cheek.
