Love So True

There are butterflies called Monarch's,
And I, delicately, have held one of these,

Red deer in autumn rut, is a sight everybody should see, and
I am privileged to have witnessed Sea turtles in Turkey

I have touched alligators in Florida,
And I have watched heron fly in Egypt,

Listened to the English dawn chorus, wept
At the sight of seagulls in a V, suddenly

Appearing when I had such a desperate need
For spirituality. Ancient oak trees

In Shotover Forest, provide branches so
Thick you can lay on and write, and despite

All the shit fired at foxes, I found one,
Befriended it, hand fed it, and watched it

Outrun death.
I have held my breath as I witnessed

A kingfisher dive into a local pond,
Gone for what seemed like minutes,

And then up again, a mouth full of fish fillet.
I listen to wild deer at night; muntjac

I hear them bark, calling to Jack
And owls hoot and I hoot back

And all of these things; so fantastic, so magnificent
Natures endless symphony, such a wonder for me

But I have never seen again love so true
As the love life gave to me and you

On Top Of The World

I like to be on top, that's where I love to be. Not first in competition or sexually. Fell running to the top, of my favourite hill. Its like time surrounding me is standing still.

Cool summer breeze soothing my face. Walking through the forest my favourite place. No noise no people just me and the birds. Mind empties of worries and fills with words.

In The Forest

In the forest when I look at the sky, it looks like a five year old scribbled black ink over the azure sky.

Willow Tree

Willow willow tree. Your hairlike branches sway. Tickling my nose. And making me sneeze. Willow willow tree. Your soft rasping. As your branches touch. Are a lullaby to my ears. Willow willow tree.

Nature Sensed

@Emma_33 #poem. I sat and watched. As a spider spun its web of beauty. The most wonderful sight. I'm ever likely to see. I laid and listened. As the thunder roared and the rain crashed down.

Standing so proud and imposing. Nature, all around you is beautifully boasting. Legendary are you. The decades that passed you by, have flew. Charmingly ancient and grand.
