I sat and watched
As a spider spun its web of beauty
The most wonderful sight
I'm ever likely to see
I laid and listened
As the thunder roared and the rain crashed down
I remained perfectly silent
As nature brought me my favourite sound
I've tasted the fruit
That nature so graciously supplies
Bananas and plums
Rhubarb and apples in pies
I walked past and smelt
All the flowers and freshly cut grass
In the gardens we walked in
In the summer just passed
I touched her hand
For the very first time
Jolts of electric
Up my arm and my spine
