I have named them demons, for lack of a better word. Not so named out of the religious sense, rather ordinary people, whom after years of isolation, feeding upon the raw flesh of others, have devolved and adapted themselves to the new world around them.
The worst cases can be found roaming country sides or the outskirts and desolate areas of large cities. They hunt, seemingly, by instinct alone... However, what they lack in calculating, cognitive thought, they more than make up for with speed, endurance and strength.
A less aggressive, although equally dangerous cannibalistic people can also be found these days, though they appear normal... Rumored to prefer their victims "prepared". Perhaps this is the reason for such an animalistic development in those which choose to devour on the spot.
