I was either in awe or scarred for life. Both, maybe. I stared wide-eyed at the boy. He looked like he was uncomfortable, and I could probably guess why. He was about my age, fully developed, and standing naked in front of a girl. Poor guy…
"Um, hi…er, stay here while I, uh, go get my clothes!" he said to me. In a second, he was gone. I obediently stayed and waited for him to come back. What else could I do?
After a few minutes, he was back fully dressed. I stared at him, waiting for an explanation. "I'm so sorry you had to see that. You see, well, I'm a werewolf…" he said and then looked at my now open mouth. "When you look into the eyes of a wolf, it's dangerous. I could have attacked you right then and there."
"Oh," was all I could muster.
He reached into his pocket and took out his cell phone. I watched him as he flipped it open and dialed a number. He held the cell phone to his ear and said, "Oh, hi Bryan. Can you all come meet me in the woods? Don't come as wolves…Yes, trust me! Kay, bye."
He sat down next to me as we waited for whoever we were waiting for. "I'm Benjamin, but everyone calls me Benji," he said. "I'm Julie," I said back. Suddenly, I heard the voices of many boys. Benji and I both stood up.
"Yo!" Benji called to the four boys that were walking towards us. He gestured to me and said, "This is Julie. She encountered me phasing. She was actually brave enough to go up to me and look me in the eyes when I was in my wolf form!" They all burst out laughing and waved to me.
"Are you all werewolves, too?" I asked curiously. "As a matter of fact, we are!" said the one that looked native American. "This is Hart…Bryan…Cole…and Flint," Benji said as he gestured to each boy.
Hart had shaggy strawberry blonde hair and kind eyes. Bryan was the native American one; he had dark skin and cropped black hair. Cole looked sweet with his blonde curls and bright green eyes. Flint was tall, had layered black hair, and had icy blue eyes. They were all very different from each other, yet they were like brothers.
"We better get you home," said Benji. "That would be smart," I commented. So, they all walked with me until we reached the edge of the woods. They all waved goodbye and we departed. I walked across the street to my house. When I got to my room, I saw that I had some unpacking to do.
