If I Saw You Earlier

Chapter 25

When we came home I walked straight to the bedroom. I was scared. Cathy's words echoed in my mind. Where were those people looking at me and James.

I heard James walk up. The house was so quite. He came in the room holding a glass of water. He sat next to me and said.
" as long as the sun is up. As long as I am with you, you won't get hurt my love". He said in a calm voice holding my hand.

" she scared me James. I don't even-". My mind had tons to say. Yet I didn't speak. I said nothing. He gave me that glass of water. I couldn't even drink it.
" you will sleep in my arms, in this bed. No one can come near you". James looked me in the eyes. His hair, his face and his body. He was so beautiful. The thought off me losing him was haunting me.

" it's still early. Want to do something fun?". He asked with a smile.
" how can you be so calm?". I asked him. After everything we went through he was so calm.
" cause I want you to be calm and I know John won't put his hands on you when we go and take a swim. So what do you say my love?". He looked me in the eyes. I couldn't get enough of it.
" let's go". I said.

I forgot I bought that black bikini. The women in the store told me it looked great on me.

I walked downstairs with a towel James had put on the bed. I opened the kitchen door and a warm breeze welcomed me to a side I loved.

I took a few steps on the porch and then I felt it. The hot sand under my feet. Then the sunlight on my shoulder. I couldn't see James anywhere then I saw him land in front of me.

" it's hard to know I am alone and I can't fly. So I take a chance of flying whenever I am alone or with you and-". He stopped and his eyes met my body. I felt his eyes on me. Then he looked at my face and said.
" you look so beautiful, I don't even know what to say". He said with a smile.
" then don't, I want to jump in the water?".
" sure baby,let's go".
