The dread writers block isn't something I suffer
But it serves a purpose, it acts as a buffer
For if your ideas are not quite so assured
A chip off the block, and Hey Presto, you're cured!
It seems to me that these writers block writes
Are filled to the brim with descriptive delights
Vociferous verbs that are written so well
Are the route to escape, not the road to hell
All of the pieces that tell of the curse
Are brilliant at best and they stun at their worst
Everybody that's stumped and is seeking release
Ends up writing a masterpiece!
The trials and tribulations of a broken pen
Are posted on Opuss again and again
Before too long you'll be shaking and baking
And thrilling us all with the stories you're making
So don't curse its name, think it more of a friend
It'll loosen your thoughts, free your mind in the end
Your key is your pen, it undoes the lock
Advice for the afflicted? Don't knock writers block!
