Got home yesterday and the kids had run amok
Christ are you still here? Can't help looking at the clock
I think I'm showing symptoms. And if the truth be told
I'm gonna have to face it, yes I think I'm getting old
Everything's a racket, as befits advancing years
But I still love my music, though it hurts my tender ears
A fresh ache every day and now I feel the cold
I suppose I've had it coming, sometimes I feel so old
Just leave me in the corner to moan and groan and gripe
But I'm not really ready for the slippers and the pipe
Inside I'm still a kid and I'm gonna break the mould
Gonna play it young 'cos I'm fed up with growing old!
I've got my grandad's hair so no chance of going grey
May not be too fit but I can keep up anyway
I might not look so good as my skin begins to fold
But at least, just for a moment, I'm not feeling quite so old
To hell with healthy living, I wanna taste and feel
I'm gonna knock 'em back, strap the years onto my keel
Of course it's just a fantasy, of course my future's sold
It doesn't really matter 'cos everybody will get old
So bring the kids tomorrow and I'll let 'em run around
I'll let 'em play with every little thing that they have found
To see their sense of wonderment is something to behold
You can stick your pipe and slippers, I ain't never growing old...

I'm with you on this Hun all the way!!....I went to the docs the other days with a list...A LIST...lol...one thing on there was a tiny spot I had on my hand...I showed it to her she looked and laughed and said "that's an age spot my dear".....bloody great!!😜😝😃😘
