He watches over his friends, taking in every detail.
He knows every weakness they have, painstakingly well.
Not to hurt them though, but for when they get hurt.
That way he knows the best way to pick them up when they fall.
Whilst it is painful to seem the experience hurt he knows will come, he cannot intervene.
For they must learn to take each and every fall before they can be strong enough on their own.
When they stand on their own feet triumphantly, then he knows he can go.
Then he will find someone else to watch over.
