You come down
Change the world as you do it.
Fall from afar
But so gently do it.
When sad you wash my tears away
And make me wet so noone knows
I'm crying.
When happy you make me seem more mature
So noone knows
Inside I'm dying.
Wash away my worries today
You signal a new beginning.
For if you come down long and lots
The next morning
there is dew on the flower pots.
Come now, when I most need it
When my desperation doth feed it
And my cries for help does bleed it.
And you wash it all away
Bearing the world's pain.
Silently while noone can see
Your crying and your pain.
Sometimes some of us try
To look into a moment of wonder
As we stream into a raindrop with focus
I can smile
Because you are joy with no real inspiration.
And melancoly
With no discrimination.
For when you fall somewhere a lone puppy
Gets the chill it needed from the sweltering heat
And smiles in its eyes while you secretly hide
And do so with pride, those regretful lies.
