They're having a laugh
Not enough water
For a nice bath

Electric is shocking
Price is so high
Installed solar panels
For the source in the sky

Gas is expensive
Not enough heat
The heater is cold
You can't warm your feet

Rent is so crazy
It's gone through the roof
The homeless around
Give you the proof

Petrol is soaring
Mileage is low
Not enough fuel
To make your car go

Now wouldn't you think
That this would be wise
To afford all these things
We'd get a pay rise
