she screamed "no". it broke the silence. it was sharp like shooting a window with a pistol. it shattered the eerie quietness. the quietness of everyone looking away. looking away when he was mean to her. they didn't see anything. it wasn't their business. everyone knew but no one told they knew. she was tired of it. she was tired. she pulled up her black sleeves and exposed her scars from cutting. running down the halls screaming, "I'M NOT OKAY." they all knew this. they all acted shocked. everyone continued living. when she doesn't wake up tomorrow maybe they'll see.
