Soul Song

I have a soul that sings,
It even has bells it rings,
There's something in my blood,
That makes it go lud, dud, thud,
The beat fills my bones,
I'm surprised it doesn't carry down the phone...

I have a soul that sings,
I'm sure it's even got violins,
They carry a sweet tune,
That turns it into a typhoon,
It bounces around inside of me,
Shouting and singing "yippee!"

I have a soul that sings,
And plays by plucking my heart strings,
Mostly it is pretty happy,
It's also pretty wacky,
But tells me we all have a song,
Drummed out inside us, one that makes us strong.

The Rose

Love this song/poem - the words are so true The Rose Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed. Some say love, it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed.
