@insomnium I'm right there with you! I just get sick and tired of the 12 year olds who come here posting sub par quotes that end up with dozens of likes while there are creative brilliant poets here who work so hard for just a handful of reads. Thanks for the RP, dear💗

@newernew I feel you on that, it's same thing on instagram and postsercet and I'm scared that opuss might be next 'fad' thing without any meaning.. I keep on trying to find a place where I can truly belong, and I think I finally do but I'm scared of what they will do to beautiful app :/ which is why more need to read this, hence the RP ;)

@insomnium I'm not the first to write something about this, lots of us have the same concerns. Since that girl whored out Opuss on her Instagram and brought all of her followers with her here I've been really worried about this app. I've fallen absolutely in love with it and would hate to see it get blown to bits with a bunch of senseless rubbish. I feel bad saying I don't want the network to expand, but I truly don't. I like how close strangers across the world can become because we read each other's writing. That will be lost if opuss is simply another "fad"

@newernew 😳😰😔😞 that girl? Instagram? Dang, I posted some of my opuss on IG as well,.. But only because I knew many of my friends who loves to write haven't found this app and wanted to share with them,.. So I hope I'm not 'that girl' 😳😰😱, but I do see your point here, I can fully understand why you don't want to expand this, cause I've seen how close this opuss have brought strangers from afar, and some kind of other worldly creature come along and ruins it,.. I know the moment like that and it does infuriate me. And for that, I'm sorry if I'm 'that girl'... 😢💔❤

@insomnium oh no dear!! You're not that girl! Someone who was pretty much Instagram famous told all of her folders to make accounts and follow her, so she ended up with 150+ followers overnight from people who don't even write. Your posts are well thought out and original and beautiful and someone else here decided to post otherwise. I didn't mean you at all. I told a friend or two about this app because they like to write and I thought they'd like it. I'm not against new people here, I'm new myself. I just don't like the spammers.

@newernew haha, I totally feel you there- spammers are always unwelcome, aren't they... It's funny and irony how much we use something as spamming, just for some stupid reasons. I do hope that opuss will work on weeding them inactive accounts :)

@newernew @insomnium I completely agree... Some quotes and statuses can get a ton of likes where as poems and stories dont because people can't he bothered to read them.... It's sad :'(

@insomnium @newernew I think they're getting the message. They've been quiet of late. As you say, it's sad when when good writers are ignored because someone wants to become Max Popular on anything that's even slightly social. Keep writing, I say, the good folk of Opuss know the score. 👏👏❤

@leelee101 that's good, I think they were hoping it would include the posting of picture but to their disappointment, no picture includes- for once I am glad about that. Pictures steals our imagination when it comes to writing... I say good riddance! They've got not imagination!

@insomnium two different sites = two different types of inspire for different people. I think they probably realise this isn't really the place for them. There's nothing that can be done if they want to carry on, I just hope if they do, they do some writing! Best just to see how it goes hun. I'm sure it'll all work out fine. Just keep doing what you're doing, plenty people are appreciating it. 👍👍❤

I haven't followed anyone yet. I am new and just started to explore. My son and his gecko have given me inspiration to try my hand at writing again. I am my own worst critic so I have a short piece I posted I am writing.

@blindsilence because very few of them liked my writing, which doesn't mean they didn't read it, but it's safe to assume you don't follow someone unless you like their posts. I don't know for sure, it's only an assumption.

@leelee101 We got this. I think there are enough talented and dedicated opussians to write hateful poems about these newcomers. I'm sure they'll head back to Instagram and twitter soon enough. Except the truly passionate new authors, who I hope stay.

@blindsilence yes, you're also a gifted writer who has been on opuss for a while and creates original work. So this poem was not directed at you in the least.

@blindsilence chill out, posts rhymes with most and the line fit well. To me it makes sense you'd heart someone's post if you liked them enough to follow them. But hey, could be wrong.

I am not provoked at all. Let me explain: I just pointed out a line or two with your poem that I found odd and questioned you on it. You then answered rather bizarrely which I again questioned you on. You mentioned in your poem that this place is for poets, artists and the such but you don't appear to fully understand what you are writing, (in a reply to me you told me that posts rhymes with most and that is why it was used). It's all well and good making a rhyme but if it is a rhyme for the sake of a rhyme where is the artistry in that?.

I take this in offense.
