Attention seeking? Is it cos I, as an adult, don't understand them, so, the huddle together in a freaky group of blood brothers? Need a good slap is what I'm thinking hahaha
@Burrfoot I just tag the authors into my piece on self harm and invite them to read it. Hopefully it'll have a sobering effect on them.

@smellyfingers mate I tell ya, a good slap wouldn't go amiss IMO. I don't understand the glamorisation at all. And the thing is, you can rest assured that these kids aren't the ones actually harming themselves. Easy to see why it makes opuss's mature population seethe. A complete exercise is pointlessness. I've left a few questioning comments but she clearly says she's going to 'write a text message type story' and then posts a bunch of things I've seen on the web before...
Well said I really don't get the whole cutting thing...either we have some really messed up teens or it's attention seeking even if it's the later I still think it's sad...does it mean parents are failing?
@sjw it's all of the above really isn't it. The pressure from their peers makes kids try to grow up too fast without knowing the perils and pitfalls that may await. That in turn might make them want to go back to where they were as kids. Then they hear about people cutting as a genuine way to try to deal with their lives and think oh that must be the way, hang on, where's dad's razor... Next thing they read about it being glamorised and are thinking hey, I just did that, I must be cooler than November. And the parents are then seen to fail because all of this is going on behind their bedroom door, and the privacy they're afforded means that mum and dad are largely clueless. God only knows where it ends ๐ข๐ข
The piece i wrote on self harm was in no way meant to glamorise the subject. I was in a very dark place when i wrote it, hence the negatives. The piece has been re-written and added to in order to give a more uplifting effect. Thanks.
@leelee101 @Irrational_Kimmi just when my blood pressure was dropping, along comes the author of the deleted one.. Read her piece 'banned' and the new one. I'm gonna admit defeat with that one and ignore.

@were tbh I can't remember now. It was something about cutting and it was taken from the net without author acknowledgement, but it's all done with now. ๐
