@leelee101 nope. No clue. Although a lot of people that used to write have seemed to have stopped, and there are a lot of two line posts kicking about too. Like its turning into twitter...

@naaviie I don't know it just feels...funny. Perhaps it's because there's not so many folks around in the mornings haha

@Delilah @naaviie @puffy1980 even the evenings are different. It seems quite easy to catch up with the feed, I used to struggle sometimes! Personally I felt the change when AG went, the first time round. It seemed to get quieter, then all the plagiarism and now the copyright issue, it's almost as if people are scared to post. That's how it seems to me

@leelee101 hmm yes I always worry incase I write something that sounds like something else and a whole angry mob comes knocking

I agree, I feel really sorry for Seamonster too because it's almost as if their baby is crumbling before their eyes. It is sad.

@glen @Nom I think it all started with AG leaving. Kinda put a damper on everyone. Hasn't really recovered...atleast not yet anyway

@Nom @glen @naaviie @leelee101 @Delilah I think that obviously the whole AG thing (both first AND second time) is going to leave a nasty taste in people's mouths. It's creates unrest & disillusionment when something like that happens. However, I think the main reason at the moment is simply that, the novelty factor for some has worn off, & others have just run out of steam. Personally, I have days where I can write a couple of pieces, but then I'll have a day or two of blanks. There just seems to be a distinct lack of new faces, & when one does come along, they often get lost in the 'feed'. I'm sure as time goes by & the profile of Opuss increases, this will rectify itself. Stay positive guys!😄

@Fly10 your point is well made Leigh. I'm staying positive. I'd hate to see it all have to go 😥 I only found the app by mistake when I was trawling my phone one night. The idea appealed, so I downloaded it and had a go. I've learnt a lot about people on here, and about myself too. Opuss has to stay! 👍😘

@leelee101 hope your right bud! It's not so much the lack of new faces, more the lack of talent. I don't mean to sound like a prick, but some posts you see and think "why did you post that" things that look like facefuck updates, or tweets.

@Fly10 that feed is a nightmare, posts are gone in less than 10 minutes, if it wasn't for people reposting your work gets lost, I've read some great things that have only got a couple of likes and a one line joke (that's not even funny) with over 30. Now most people ain't really that bothered about rank but they do want people to read there posts otherwise they wouldn't write them. I think that disheartens a lot of new people, they write something and get no likes then they leave.

@puffy1980 fair enough mate, but it is a writing app, and what you think is shite, could be another mans rhubarb, of u know what I mean! Horses for courses, but I understand what you're saying. Worse is the ones who treat Opuss exactly like Facebook or twitter. It's just one of those things. Definitely got quiter after the AG stuff, but I'm sure Leigh is right, it'll all pick up. 👍😉

@glen yeah I've noticed that. For example my story Stan probably averaged 6 likes per chapter and I put a shit load of time and effort into it. Yet you see the top post of the year is a bob Marley quote. With 1'500+ liked. I'm not bitching that I didn't get more likes, but it doesn't seem fair if that makes sense. I'm not bothered about rank or anything like that. But an even playing field would be nice!

@leelee101 @glen @puffy1980 @Fly10 - totally agree with you Leigh. And there are a lot of improvements to come for the app, so I think we've just gotta stay tuned. I dunno if you guys have twitter - but that feed always starts at the post you last read, then you scroll up till you get to the most recent one. That is a much better system than this one, with all the scrolling down & loading probs etc... Opps apologises for tangent.

@naaviie yeah I have twitter and had actually forgotten about the way it displays your last read post. That would be an excellent idea.

@puffy1980 everyone's gotta sound off sometime. It ain't being a prick. I know what it feels like to have put hard work and effort into a piece and then watch it get trampled on. I mean, rank, shmank, but I do like to see my work do well and it's getting hard to get likes. End of the day though I'm really enjoying my writing and surely that's what it's really about, finding an outlet for something I never really l knew I had! I'm just gonna carry on and write mate, I'm enjoying it too much! 👍😉

@leelee101 @puffy1980 @naaviie @glen There are clearly some improvements that could be made on here, & I think the repost thing is one of them. I would personally only receive a repost of someone I'm not already following, & that way it would be easier for me to pick up on new stuff. I also completely understand the point re a 'quote' hitting top spot, but again, unless categories are split, there's no way round that. But the creators of the app seem to genuinely take on board feedback-it's a simple problem of money & resources at the

moment. I'm sure if we all stick with it, over time it will adapt to what the majority want-a simple writing app. I also think the 'twitter' types will soon get bored, as there's just not the scope on here for that kind of longevity. To summarise, I'm optimistic! 😉👍

I've noticed it's been a lot quieter, I did write about it the other day, it could be a combination of a lot of things that ppl have already said really hope it doesn't fizzle out it's a great app! I agree with what your saying about the likes I don't actually think they reflect whether a piece is better than another piece, like you I've seen amazing posts get very few likes, I'm wondering if it's more a question of popularity?? Anyway let's hope it picks up and gets even better 💞

Hey all, I know that I'm relatively new to Opuss and don't have a lot of base to go on, but it does seem to be rather...I don't know quiet lately. The thing that irks me is that, as many of you said before, there's a lot of posts that are only a few lines or just a quote of someone else's words. I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing if its only done a bit, but in the case of some users it's all of their work. Anyways, I'm hopeful that the issue of Opuss losing it's...pizazz..will be resolved soon! 😊

There are some great writers on here, and to try and read everything is a nightmare. New people on here don't stand a chance with RPs going on all the time, we all have our favourite writers, I've been trying to skip pass well known writers, to read the new guys stuff, but a piece will catch my eye and I'm lost again. This is a great App and we all should help it along, and not get bogged down with crap ??

Personally, my heart sings when I get positive feedback from those whose opinions and work I respect. And reading others pieces that truly touch me make me happy. I feel, through this app- if I were ever in your neighbourhood or you were in mine we could sit down, share a brew and have a hell of a good time. That's powerful. 😊
