Padded room,
Locked door,
Safe from harm,
Yet still
Insecure,
Drugs don't
Work,
Mind races,
She's walked
The room,
A million paces,
Not insane,
Just mixed
Messages,
Tap tap tap,
Foot keeps
Working,
Trap trap trapped,
Mind keeps
Jerking,
Rooms of
White,
With bright
Light,
Spy hole
In the heavy
Metal door,
Footsteps
Clicking in the
Corridor,
A goldfish
Bowl,
A lost
Soul,
Watched
Perused,
Medical
Experimentation,
No compensation,
Electrical probes,
Attached to her
Brain,
Medically unfit,
Clinically insane,
Electricity surges
Through her being,
Suppressed her
Emotions,
Stops her from seeing,
Clearly not living,
Just existing,
Wheeled through
Corridors so vast,
Lights above blinking,
She's not insane,
Just depressed,
Scared and lonely,
She regressed,
She's repressed,
An animal caged,
Needs support,
To douse her rage,
Internal voices,
No choices,
They were taken,
In her hands
Her head is
Shaken,
Medication,
Numbs the frustration,
This time,
Injected in her veins,
Against her wishes,
Her body jerks and
Strains,
Her senses dulled
And silenced,
To stop her rage and violence,
She believes she is
Fine,
But to herself she is blind,
Logical and rational,
She can be,
The other side shows
Her version of
Insanity,
A compelling conflict,
Between two
Personas,
Belongs to one brain,
Two loners,
Lost not found,
She looked,
She didn't find,
Ushered to this place,
Memories left behind,
Seek harder and
She will see,
The place she's in
Is not insanity,
A vision of what her
Life's become,
Her reality and visions
Have become one,
She's not in the asylum
For the insane,
It was part of her
Brains complex game,
A metaphor, an image
Of how she's feeling,
Trapped yet alone, her
Mind is reeling,
She needs to find the
Master key,
To unlock the door
To reality.
