As dawn breaks the sky,
The birds let off their morning cry,
I sit and watch the sun rise,
Dropping its dark guise,
A light dusting of ice,
Crisp and white looks rather nice,
Sky takes on hues of orange and red,
Stars leave the sky to put someone else to bed,
I miss the moons omnipresence,
Lighting the sky it's pleasant,
Night creatures crawl back to their dens,
I've pictured them on my camera lens,
Now the creatures of the day emerge,
As the light in the sky submerge,
Ready for the dawn of a brand new day,
I'm waiting for the darkness to come back again.
