To Let Go

It's hard to let go of the past and its pain
But I am letting it go
And I will no longer live in vain

I see now that life is a game
Sometimes you loose
And sometimes you'll gain
And holding on to the past will drive you insane

The past is the past gone and forgotten
Don't open the door when it comes knocking

Don't expect to get anything back
Don't wait to be acknowledged and get a pat on the back
Just let go and cut the past loose
Whatever happened then just left a small bruise
But if you let go it will heal on it own
And if you succeed the past will leave you alone

You might hold on because of arrogance and pride
But you have changed since then so put the titles aside
Just simply let go
Your past is no longer part of your show
You are now in a new phase
And in your new life, the past doesn't have a place

The Story

One day I'll look back and I'll see what we've become. I know I'll regret and want to forget all the bad in my past, in our past. But I won't call this and I won't call us a mistake.

Here's To The Past

Farewell senseless feelings. Farewell demons of the past. Farewell thoughts of misery. Farewell these thoughts at last. Goodbye to all the anger. Goodbye to all the pain. Goodbye to all the sorrow.

Mending

Today I'm feeling strange. Today I feel slightly better. Today I look at myself. Today the weathers wetter. Today I'm appearing strong. Today I feel my urges. Today I've been distracted.

My Heart Buried

Caution: brutal language. My heart no longer resides. On my sleeve. You must dig deeper. And not leave. Unlike the past,. Where I'm told I was truthful. Especially to myself. I had a mouthful.

Regrets

We are allowed to have minor regrets in our lives, like why did we buy another pair of shoes, or why we ordered the large coke.

Then & Now

I hear the train pass by again. Slowly I fall back into memories of then. Of all the things full of sin. And how I let it all seep in. I thank the powers for making this so.
