Chapter 2

Sarah was driving her brand new car she got for her birthday this year. Her son -Billy- sleeping in the back peacefully.
They were about to visit Sarah's parents in a tiny village miles and miles away from where they lived their busy big city life.
Her husband couldn't make it to free himself from work, he had to prepare everything for a big meeting and he also wasn't the favorite guy of his father-in-law.
It was a long journey and Sarah didn't like driving, though she was a really good driver.
She felt a bit sleepy, so she put on her favorite rock-Cd and decided to make a break at the next cafeteria.
***
Sarah and Billy found themselves in a long and wide corridor a bit further away from each other. There was a huge door at the end of the corridor, and Sarah was wondering where the lights come from as there weren't any to see, nor windows, but it was bright in there. She saw Billy to run by and she wanted to hold him back, but it was impossible to catch him before he reached the door. One second and Billy just disappeared on the other side of the door.
Sarah begun to run, but at the time she could have reached the door, it wasn't there anymore. Vanished as it was never there. Just as her son. But she wasn't worrying about him anymore, she didn't care.
The lights gone out, wherever they came from, Sarah still didn't know, but she didn't care about it neither.
Her heart was filled with peace and she simply walked backwards the corridor, although she had no idea what she was looking for there and how she appeared to be there.
At the time she arrived home she was way too tired to eat anything or to talk to her husband, she's simply gone to bed to sleep.
***
The phone was ringing and ringing in the office until Sarah's husband answered it.
If he wouldn't have answered that call he could have finished all the preparation for his meeting. But this way, it wasn't possible anymore. He wasn't been on that meeting, just because of a phone call.
The police officer told him about the car accident and how he felt sorry for his loss.
Frank couldn't believe he has just lost the meaning of his life: his son, Billy and his wife, Sarah.
That night Frank cried himself to sleep and dreamt about Sarah, he was feeling her presence for a long time after she died, as she still would have been there with him.
But she was dead. Although she didn't notice that fact.
