Two Years III

Together on my bed we lay . Entwined. The sun was glorious and shining through the bedroom window onto my face. I couldn't describe this bliss. Danny kissed my head. Softly like a feather touching down on earth for the first time. His lips lowered kissing my face. His body was soon on top of mine. His legs gripping mine. Danny's hands lifted me a little an he placed me closer to his body. The kissing. The time flew by, our lips softly touching then it went deeper. Deeper kisses, I could taste his tongue. Inbetween kisses we smiles and laughed. My hands feeling for his body, and crawled up his shirt. I could feel the warmth from his body. Surely this was perfection. Nothing could get better than this. The moments that Danny and I had shared. This would last forever.

It was a cold day. Frost on the grass. I woke up and as per usual I peered out of the hazed window. Danny pulled my body back to the mattress. He looked at me and whispered " I'm going to miss you so much. I'm going to text you every night and every morning of how much I love you". Danny was going away today. A business meeting in Blackpool. A long way to drive. I told him to get the train or something. He meet listens. I got a call at 12pm. The words I had never wanted to hear. Ever. " Danny. He's been hit. He's been in an accident ". My body froze. The phone fell from my hand. The cup of coffee in the other hand had smashed on the tiles. My first instinct was to ring back; shout. Tell them it was lies. But what I really did was turn on the news. " a huge accident on the motorway involving 7 cars have put the traffic to standstill" . " That could be anyone " I thought. Until the camera panned over Danny's car. The number plate; the same. This can't be the end. He is obviously going to survive. He has too.
