The promises died on his icy white breath....
Words he'd spoken that took him out of his depth
He'd promised to light her world, to love and protect
Instead she'd received only darkness and neglect
His love was once sincere, but his jealous heart took hold,
A heart once filled with warmth had become oh so cold
He became twisted, she became frustrated,
Love took second place, and forgiveness belated
Casting a spell, his paranoia drove him insane
A fare price she thought for how he'd caused her pain
Now he rests at the bottom of a lake, life became his enemy
And she's left with nothing just a frozen memory.
