My mum is simply the best
She stands head and shoulders above the rest
My teenage years, I was such a test
But thankfully with patience she was well blessed
My three naughty brothers were such a handful
Wearing at her patience like steel wool
Kindness she had in sackful's
And on her heart strings we all pulled
So mum I just want to say
Your selfless and beautiful in every way
You've loved and nurtured me from the very first day
Consider this a 'THANK YOU' bouquet

Blue eyes and frizzy hair. You tightly hold your teddybear. Tiny toes and cheeky grin. Always kiss me cheek and chin. Cute dress and gooey face. You light up this dreadful place.
From the moment we met. You knew what to do. The caring and giving. Is just part of you. The memories we share. The good and the bad. The laughter the giggles. The best that we had.
Make everything perfect. On this, her special day. Treat her, give respect. Help her know a loving way. Every single moment. Remember why you're here. She's the one who made you.

Dear Mum I love you and want you to know, I think of you often wherever I go. You lift me up; you're like walking sunshine; I am lucky to have a great mother like mine.
Love is that special feeling That tickles our heart and soul, That often leaves us crying, But never short we grow.
~I wrote this when I was 18 in a moment of broodiness. Writing a poem was a good form of letting it out/contraception ;) It kind of makes me cringe at the moment, but anyway...~ I love babies.
