Ok so I guess I have to succumb
to the Christmas gladness
Shopping at Westfields tomorrow
is going to be pure madness
It's tradition for us to do all
our pressie shopping on Xmas eve
Although it means getting
through the doors will be quite a heave
So Poppie will spend the day
with my brother instead of my mum
She adores her favourite uncle
and they always have lots of fun
I'm going to need a bag full of patience
and another full of cash
And if anyone steps on my toes
then they'll get a good bash
Going to feel like a big kid
and really get into the festive spirit
I'm hoping my choice of presents
doesn't earn me any demerits
Maybe if I pretend to be feeling
the winter chills and blues
I might be able to wrangle myself
a brand new pair of shoes!
So today I will relax
and start getting my gift list together
Tomorrow's a day of stealth shopping
no matter what the weather.
