I've felt the pain and the hurt of losing a child
I've felt the heat from the sun as it looked down and smiled
I've felt the cry and desperation of the oppressed and the weak
I've felt the comfort of the sand as it caressed my feet
I've felt the anger of another's heated temper
I've felt passion that smouldered like an ember
I've felt the wrath of nature as it whipped up the seas
I've felt the pleasure of a warm gentle summers breeze
I've felt helpless watching innocents suffer and cry
I've felt in awe of the stars as they twinkle in the midnight sky
I've felt lost and alone in the clutches of others
I've felt overbearing love for a child like many other mothers
I've felt many emotions that have been both good and bad
I've enjoyed the happy and fought through the sad
I've felt the pain from some of these things
I've endured the downs to enjoy what happiness brings.
