The cruelness of wasted life
Locked inside a prism of hate
Fuelled by a design that's rife
Padlocked behind white gates
How does one escape the tears
The solitude and sanctuary
The overwhelming dark fears
A hollowed smile so gratefully
Capturing all the senses
Remembering words that were empty
Challenging orders and rulings
Visions of love and lust a plenty
Could we not just see
How nocturnally they breed
Energies flowing so free
In love and lust and greed
I sit and ponder a little longer
Sheltered from the stinging rays
My mind drifting of to wonder
A future set ahead of my days
You walk right past at last
Your scent lingers in the air
My heart beats a little fast
And I forget all that's unfair
I ask you for your label
A wink, a smile, a word
You say I'm more than capable
As we stand out from the herd
Offering me your hand
I rise up once again
Chin up now proudly we stand
Sheltering each other from the blame
