If I could withdraw the thorns
Slowly tormenting your body and soul
And pierce them onto my own,
So I shall be the one to feel
The agony brought by the
Ruins and remains of yesterday,
Robbing you of today's smiles
And tomorrow's dreams,
I shall not falter nor shall
I exhibit even a bit of unwillingness
To allow my flesh to decompose,
If only to give a spark
To an ember tardily losing its heat
Into cold, gloomy sundown.
For my voice has long
Lost its strength to muteness,
My torch has been cast away
Into dreamless slumber where
None have I to neither lose nor regret,
But let yours prevail, to serve as
A mighty sword of those forsaken
By justness; your songs to touch hearts,
And your wisdom to remain gleaming
Like a star guiding neophytes
Of reality and rightfulness.
Let my soul become unified with yours;
My breath to lengthen the light
Of your candle wearily
Melting and burning out.
Only then shall I become alive,
And my life shall live its fullest.
