I'm always awake before I've awoken. Is today the day I cash my token.
Before too long, my mind's asleep. No more noise, bittersweet relief from living vicariously through poorly taught beliefs.
I am what I am. A man with two legs and two hands doing handstands and bending backwards for life's plans.
And you are what you are.
Colliding high speed crash cars and next years rising film stars, shiny and flawless with no scars.
Today's just another twenty four hours of sunshine and scattered showers. Looking down from glass towers, perfecting the closest thing to superpowers.
Ignorance taught, wisdom learned. Looking too closely leaves bright eyes burned.
Cities never sleep and dead men never wake, except in bad dreams that make the coldest hearts ache.
Concrete to metal, glass doors and cool shiny plastic. Everything's a mirror, overstated and drastic.
Crashing and burning from moving too fast. If the good times don't last, we'll live in the past.
And brace for the future. Stuck in a network on someone's computer.
The roullete's already spinning, no more bids.
Deny questions and answers and medicate the kids. Hold out the vials, and pop off the lids.
We don't need no education. We all live the same vocation, centered around senseless dication that move's a growing nation to gradual sedation.
But complacency kills. So I'll keep running.
Tommorow's a new day.
The future is coming.
