I hide my inner child
behind an education
which cuts deep at the strings
of my imagination
i long to see the world in rose again
to never feel love's pain
"i'll never like a boy, they're silly" i vowed
i abhored fashion and technology, i didnt follow the crowd.
then that friend who'd always been there
suddenly grew before my eyes,
i began to care
to my suprise
i dont know how to say it
i'd burried that part to long ago
as i watch you and her sit
i've booked a one way ticket to the friend zone.
it hurts so deep inside
i've begun to think
that little girl was rather wise
to see the world in pink.
