Worlds Apart

Heya,

This is a reminder that we will embark on WorldsApart tomorrow. The topic I have decided to start it off with is:

Institutional Abuse

This is a topic quite close to my heart, so it was a no-brainer to start the ball rolling with this. I have included the original post below (do read it for clarification on what this new project is about).

Due to the nature of the chosen topic, I thought it best to give you guys a days grace to mull it over and think of something to write. Anything goes (prose, poem, blog, story, etc.) as long as it relates to some form of 'Institutional Abuse'. Posting of pieces should be done on Friday 1st March 2013 and kept to that day only (we may revise this later depending on how it goes on Friday).

I am toying with the idea to post all suitable pieces on a blog, I'll keep you posted with how that fairs tomorrow.

Anyways, this is all for now, I look forward to your entries tomorrow.

A MONTHLY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Heya fellow Opussians,

We (my partners in crime: @sjw, @leelee101 & I) have decided to embark on a mission -they (Missy™ & Lee) may deny their voluntary partaking of this new project; but I know in their hearts heart they are as excited as I am. ;)

Anyhoo, back to the project at hand, following @JackAlice's DIAMONDS #acrostic challenge Sienna, Lee and I came up with a wonderful idea, we thought it would be great to have a world awareness month here on Opuss.

What we are hoping to achieve -with your help, is to bring about an awareness on matters we feel are important and overlooked in our societies and throughout the world. We will be encouraging everyone here to share their creativity on one world topic of our choosing. We will keep this to the 1st day of each month, starting with the coming month: March. This means there will be a different topic to explore each month as long as this project continues.

Our project tag will be:

All topics relating to our chosen subject should be tagged accordingly and shared on the 1st day of the appropriate month. I will set the ball rolling once we confirm a worthy topic. Then the baton will be passed onto Sienna then Lee and so forth.

As with all tags/competition there are (sadly) no prizes to be given out; this is about reaching out to our community and beyond.

We'd love to hear your thoughts. If you are game to take part in our inspirational project and want to spread peaceful messages to all who are interested in reading what we voice, then please join our mission of peaceful creations.
