Little Child

Oh child of mine asleep thou be and most times crying lustily,
I shed a tear as o'er I watch tho not for fear of mine own such,
As for I know what future brings for thee it waits within the wings,
And in the passing of the hour, that I must crumble leaving thee,
Alone as thou must surely be, in such a world of villainy.
The trials that I hast faced so far doth lie in wait for thee my child,
And surely as the day doth break thou must those trials one day face,
I pray the lord watch over thee as I shall but an angel be,
As out into this world thou tread alone, it fills me with such dread,
What awaits thee I doth pray aloud within the confines of my shroud.

Evanescence

The pale skin is tightened, Pulled across the shattered bones, Wrapped around the once pure veins in vain, Of shielding from the stones.

My Time

I fear my kin. My time has come. My songs been sang. My death knell rung. My flame that flickers. Shall soon burn out. My sands of time. Have trickled down. My heart no longer. Beats so fierce.
