Spice From The Corner Shop

Remember spice from the corner shop. When you were young. Always seemed funny to me as a spice is like Cumin, Not a lemon sherbet. Remember the hard boiled sweets. Sherbet pips.

That is a fantastic piece of advice and well worth following. If everyone did life would be great, let's hope they do! ☺😽

@crowncottage ty 😊 I'm still trying to write a couple a week for the kids and write them into a journal book.. Wish I could remember whose idea it was.. Was it @MrsS ?

@Barknbite 😊 big softies

@Fly10 ty , look forward to ur next post and hope things are on the up 💪👍

@Hiilwis aww ty 👍 lol I surprised myself 😉

@Burrfoot that is a lovely idea, I can imagine how proud they will be when they show the journals to their children, wonderful! 😽

@lonelynutmeg98 wrote about making a journal, is that the one you are thinking of? ☺

@crowncottage no, there was a poem and comments about putting a poem a day dedicated to her kids into a journal for them..

Gonna have to find it now lol

@Burrfoot a few names spring to mind but you will probably know better than me. Let me know if you find it and I will try too, between us we should manage to find it! 😄

@eddie12309 was it you?

@Burrfoot yes it was me. The poem was called "book of love" 😘

And my husband bought me a leather bound journal with my name inscribed on it do it would become " the book if love" I did a poem about that aswell called the gift. ☺😘

@crowncottage @eddie12309 I knew it 👍👏 perhaps the Opuss that has the biggest affect on my in a real way 👏👏👏👏

@eddie12309 @crowncottage brilliant 👍 I got a book with the footprints in the sand poem/psalm (was my dads favourite) .. Wish I could repost your poem again!!!!!

@Burrfoot @eddie12309 it is a wonderful idea, well done you! I was moved when I read and posted Tom's poem for Bobby (his grandson) it is such a sincere expression of love that will be passed down the generations. I may even get off my backside and start three for my grandchildren, illustrated too and that will gloss over the fact that I am a dreadful poet, I do love them though! 😄😽😽

@Burrfoot that's beautiful and I'm really touched by your comment. If I only make one person smile on my time here then my job is done. 😘😘💚

@crowncottage @eddie12309 💪hugs and ✋high fives all round 👍

@Burrfoot @crowncottage thank you. I adore the footprints in the sand. I statrted it as sadly I have absolute no physical memories of my parents, when my mum passed away everything went to. So I was determined for my children to have tangible and intangible memories. It's just something money can't buy. 💚☺

@eddie12309 that is so true. Even when you are really old 😹 memories of love, especially tangible ones, are the most valuable things, all the x boxes and special trainers are worth nothing! 😽
