We've known for some time this heartache was coming
Waking up on opposite sides of the bed every morning

Pretending the love still burns in the light of a youthful flame
Looking back I don't think either of us can take the blame

Forever in my heart, I can't get you out of my head
I will love you till the day I die but that's not enough we've said

All our talk was too little too late
Its time to say goodbye to my beautiful soulmate

We will look back in another ten years
Hold hands and laugh through the tears

Eternal friends with a love saved before turning to hate
Leading separate lives but forever each others' soulmate

My bag is packed, please just let me walk through the door
My heart is breaking I don't think I can take any more

Whenever you need me I'll be there I know we'll be alright
I'll give you a phone later and wish you sweet dreams with a goodnight

It's not our fault, let's call it our fate
Its time to say goodbye to my beautiful soulmate
