The Evolution Of Humpty

In lieu of @eddie12309 's Improvisation Challenge...

There once was a little egg
Who sprouted two ickle legs
But he fell on his ass
Rolling in the grass
He felt just like Peg-Leg-Meg.
See the egg wasn't quite used
To walking and it gave him the blues
This awful emotion
Gave him the notion
That he wasn't the only one bemused
By his inability to walk,
So he sprouted a mouth for to talk,
And a nose to smell
And some hands as well
And some eyes to see who he'd stalk.
After now regaining his balance
By growing some ears just by chance
(Though still feeling floppy
Like a wilted poppy)
He got on some tap shoes and danced.
Alas, he found he could not see
A short little egg was he,
So he climbed up on a wall
And sat there feeling tall
Now Mr Humpty-Dumpty to you and me.
