Today is the day
That shall go down in history
As The Great Unmasking
In Opussia. You see,
We had several fellows
Who dwelt among us all,
Who lived all masked and covered
Like a masquerade ball.
We didn't mind it
They were our friends you see,
We just got used to it,
They're just like you and me.
Then one day in June,
I believe twas the 16th,
With Father's Day looming
They all had a think
And decided to surprise us
By removing their disguise
And waddaya know? These masked men
Are just ordinary guys!
Yes they have faces,
These folks who we all know,
I guess it just got stuffy,
That the masks covered their nose.
So here's to The Great Unmasking
And to friends now revealed
As simple men, mortals
Roaming Earth's wide field.
