When you shook my hand, you passed on ambition.
When you told me we can send boxes of kindness to children thousands of miles away, I found out that the world's only as big and scary as you let it be.
When you handed me a pencil and told me to write, you showed me that with a bit of practise, I can do anything.
When we sang songs together every morning you were really telling me that music brings people together.
When you told me your building was built and used as a school for children just like me when Queen Victoria was on the throne, you told me that there will always be secrets no matter how well you think you know someone.
And when you handed me a piece of paper with numbers and division signs on it, you handed me a piece of paper reading: "some things just need to be learnt whether you like it or not."
And then when we prayed together, I knew that people are different, but that shouldn't stop me from believing what I think to be true.
So thank you primary school, for my lessons learnt in a classroom and in my head.
Oh and high school? I would shake your hand, but I've got ambition on it.
