I dodge and weave between them, never pausing to look back. There's so many. The entire street is covered with them. Uncle Raymond's house isn't too far, but it's going to be hell getting there. They say the grass is greener on the other side, but they never do mention how difficult it will be to reach. In my case it seems nearly impossible, there is literally a sea of undead before us.
I won't give up though. Not when I still have Lucy.
I sprint through the crowd like a madman. There's no use trying to sneak, there's simply too many. An endless stream stretches on for miles and miles. Yet, it's strangely quiet. No cars are meandering across the road in frantic escape, no gunshots are being fired to hold the monsters at bay and, most frightening of all, no one is screaming.
There's no one left.

Very short part, I know. Also, sorry for the long wait on this. Been rather busy and I wanted to finish plotting it before I actually started writing more.
I just wanted to post something so people know I've not given up on it, if anyone cares lol. There will be more tonight (a much longer chapter), but if I get too busy, then definitely tomorrow.
Au revoir <3
