You're life is on fire
There's a blaze a mile high
It's burning, it's twisting
Smoke fills up the sky
I'm screaming and shouting
So why don't you hear?
Get out while you can
Before the cost is too dear
You sit and you stare
No emotion at all
I'm banging on your windows
But you don't hear my call
As you sit in the darkness
Your hands in your lap
Looking so far away
I hear the house snap
You have given up trying
Thrown all hope away
I cry, my fists beating
On your window pane
I watch as flames burst
their way into your room
And then, you are gone
All consumed
By
Life
Dedicated to all who have suffered from depression and inspired by the line "someone could walk into this room and say your life is on fire..." 'Crazy Love' by Paul Simon
