Doctor Please

Doctor Doctor I cannot sleep,
I'm waken half the night counting sheep,
What am I supposed to do,
It's even worse than catching flu!

Oh my dear, this is a shame,
We must find out what it is to blame,
Family history I ask you,
Could they have had this 'virus' too?

No doctor, not a chance,
They all sleep sound like in a trance,
It's only me who has this ill,
Could you by chance prescribe a pill?

Open up please let me see,
Your teeth and tongue look good to me,
Heartbeat sound as a bell,
What is wrong I cannot tell!

Is there anything that you do dwell,
Why you may not sleep so well?
And I will try to make you sane,
And cure this obnoxious enduring pain.

Well Doctor there is something you should know,
It's a dark place that I do go,
Words keep spinning in my head,
From all the posts that I have read.

OMG now this is bad,
You're the 3,000 case of that this week I've had,
It makes me so so very sad,
That you have this addictive fad!

Oh my friend you must stay away,
From all these games that people play,
Listen Doctor I'll see you soon,
As I keep hearing Opuss play my tune!

I seem to have done it. Not consumed by it any more. It took awhile. A few weeks. Cold sweats. The shakes. Constant finger twitching. But now I am free. No slave to it.
