Stand on the edge,
Tied to a noose,
Not too tight,
Not too loose.
Stepping off,
One more thought,
Granddad says
You better not.
Do not see me
Way up here
It's not your time,
Nowhere near.
Turn around,
Walk away,
We will meet
Another day.
So here I am,
Soul and all,
At my church,
In a hall.
Youth is gone,
No ones near.
What's the point?
I'm out of here.
Walk two blocks,
Go inside,
Coffee shop,
Try to hide.
Bitter scent,
Espresso air,
I have no money,
But I don't care.
I'll just sit
For an hour,
Try to feel better,
But I'm too sour.
For last night,
Once again,
One more dream,
They never end.
Kill me now,
Please God, please,
Take my life,
So I'm at ease.
Change my mind,
Forget the Light,
I'll get older,
I'll be alright.
But for now,
Here I sit,
It'll take time
Before I'm over it.
