Do not die with honor
When you can live by deceit.
Do not suffer honest loss
When you can win as a cheat.

Power is as power does
And right defines itself.
The power to absolve all sin
Accumulates in wealth.

A city shining on the hill?
Been there, done that, my friend.
A robber baron's paradise
Is our new noble end.

So sully every sacred right
We fought for long ago!
We'll prop them up to hide behind,
A false facade for show.

This freedom thing's been over done,
It's gotten in the way
Of helping rich get richer still
As poor are poor to stay.

Let's just forget the sacrifice
For dreams we once held dear.
Nobody much remembers that
When paralyzed by fear.

I'll argue false dichotomies
And reach to rationalize
Abandoning our principles
With steaming heaps of lies.
