Yesterday, Carrie had texted me the last picture they had taken of me in my grassy gown.
I had to do a double take.
"Whoa," I whispered.
I had one milky hand on my reddish blonde hair. The other was gracefully outstretched. My bright blue eyes looked off into the distance, my lips, one of the things I hate about my face, gently parted.
"This can't be me," I thought again, staring at the picture.
But it was.
And in that moment, a girl who had previously been hating on herself for everything about her, every single flaw...
A girl who, for time and time again, couldn't believe she was worth something...
Realized, right then and there...
How beautiful she really was.
If anyone thinks they're not beautiful. If any girl, woman, boy, or man thinks they're not worth anything, let me say something to them, something that they should always remember:
Y o u ' r e w r o n g.
Don't even think for a second that you aren't a stunning human being, who is strong, brilliant, and priceless.
Don't make the mistake I made. Don't underestimate yourself and who you are.
But realize, just like the Grass Girl did, that truly, truly:
Y o u. A r e. P e r f e c t.
