I smiled lightly as I sat up from my chair. "Uhm..." I said awkwardly. "I actually didn't read." my face slowly changing from slight happiness to embarrassment.
She smiled, "No biggie, I'll just fill you in so you won't bomb the quiz"
I nodded my head as she started to explain. While she was explaining she would look around the room and occasionally make eye contact with. After she was done she looked at me and asked, "How does that sound?"
"Quite boring actually..." I replied.
"Yeah I know, but I guess it's homework and we have to do it" she shrugged.
"Do you ever NOT do your homework?"
"What's that supposed to mean? " she asked with a slight giggle and a smile slowly starting to creep onto her angelic face.
I chuckled lightly, "Nothing. You know 'YOLO' and all..." she laughed "...there are better things than doing homework"
"Like?"
"I have no idea" I answered and she laughed lightly again. Her laugh was intoxicating.
We kept talking, laughing and enjoying each others company...until we heard Ms. Jay say to get back to our seats.
She got up slowly and looked at me "You know you should come and eat lunch with me and my friends." She smiled warmly.
I looked at her...smiling. "What is it? 'Invite the Loser to your lunch table' day?"
"You're not a looser..." she said serious and the smiled "...you're quite fun actually; I can't believe I didn't talk to you before."
Oh how I wish she hadn't said that. I hoped she hadn't noticed me like I hadn't noticed her. But I guess I was wrong.
I felt like a douche again.
"uhm...yeah I know I'm pretty awesome" I said as I gave my best fake smile.
She laughed once again...she bought it.
"No really just stop by...you are pretty awesome" and she walked away.
I took a deep breath and contemplated if I should take her up on her offer, Maybe I would stop by and see if her and her boyfriend had a healthy relationship....
side note sorry if it's a little crappy>.<
