with soft carpet green,
a place to rest tired legs from the places I had been.
Edged with stately eucalyptus,
sweetly scented on the breeze.
Leaves whispered in the wind,
invites the spirit free.
It seemed to beckon to me,
This peaceful,
gentle place.
Undisturbed with worry, the air hung with grace.
I stole myself to the center and reclined
in sweet repose,
to release my jagged thoughts,
my troubles and my woes.
As I lay on carpet green,
a breeze whispered through.
Tickling leaves,
happy trees,
eucalyptus bliss grew.
As the branches danced about
I felt a bubbling elation.
The trees and I at one
with God's perfect creation.
Engulfed by radiant, timbered pleasure
my spirit did soar,
on the breeze
with joyful leaves,
spiritual allure.
With me,
that stand of trees
shared a secret that I'll treasure.
The breeze that sways their graceful arms
fills their hearts with pleasure.
