The Hooded Mystery

Chapter 4
It was an odd looking bird, kind of blue with yellow spots, oh and it had four eyes. I didn't think we should of eaten it, but Riley said he had seen a bird like it in a magical island book his little brother owns. They eat the bird in the book, so we tried it out, I made him eat some first though, after we (he) plucked the bird and cooked it on a fire I helped make. It actually tasted fairly good but to be honest I miss my mothers lasagna it is the best meal EVER, Oohhhhh, I would do anything right now to have that for dinner tonight.
That evening we set up camp next to a place we named the golden forest, I guess you'd know what it looked like by just hearing the name - its golden and it's a forest.
"did you hear that?" I asked Riley
"yeah, I think it's coming from the forest"
"what is it?" I asked trembling
"get behind me" he must of felt how scared I was, so I stood behind him, when two people out from the forest I screamed but was shushed very quickly by Riley, I fell silent but screams were still going so I looked over Riley's shoulder to see two girls screaming and looking at us even more terrified than we were.
